sky Karasik weekly letter assignment

Things I have learned this school year

1. Be more patient with people (Including teachers)

I learned to be more patient with others and myself by , none other than Mr. Brown himself. This kind and caring man has taught me a lot and many of the life lessons he has taught us have been affective in my life. I take all of his life lessons and many other lessons to heart and put them to good use, for instance when my friends are acting a certain way I calmly let it die out and have patience, then I give them my piece of advice in how they can work the issue out.

2. Be more open minded about things like: Ideas in group projects, then give opinion

I learned to be open minded, also by Mr. Brown. When he had us separate ourselves into groups for our PSA's project, I thought "ok, this could either end badly or have a surprising outcome". During my group discussions on how we were going to go about forming and filming our PSA I sat and listened. After a while of listening to my group members talk I got an idea of my own that added all of the others together and in the end ours and everyone else's PSA's turned out amazing. From this particular situation I became a more open minded person, which in turn made me a better person, I listen more to my friends' opinions as well as my own.

3. Give yourself the credit you deserve for the things you have accomplished.

I have learned to give myself credit for the things I have accomplished by my learning center teacher Ms. Julie Hallgrimson. She has taught me a lot about how to be more appreciative of myself and all the hard work I do and to always keep a chin high up in the air no matter what. Because I have learned to respect and give myself more credit for all the work I do, I am getting better test scores , I'm trying harder than I have in the past and am on my way to a successful future.
